Operation qualification requirements: The ERBE unit is only for qualified medical personnel to operate the new device. Before use, you need to be familiar with the operating instructions to avoid the risk of misoperation.
2
Power supply safety: A reliable grounded three-hole socket must be used to ensure that the ERBE ICC 80 device housing and function are grounded to prevent electric shock accidents.
3
Contraindications: The ERBE ICC 80 should be used with caution in patients with pacemakers, as high-frequency current may interfere with the pacemaker. If it is necessary to use it, protective measures must be taken strictly according to the pacemaker instructions.
4
Fire and explosion prevention management: No flammable materials (alcohol, ether, etc.) are allowed in the operating room, especially when oxygen needs to be removed during airway surgery. Flammable anesthetic disinfectants (such as alcohol and iodine tincture) are prohibited, and mannitol enema is prohibited during intestinal surgery to prevent explosions caused by electric sparks.
ERBE ICC80 is an electrosurgical device that replaces mechanical scalpels for tissue cutting. ERBE ICC80 electrosurgical generator heats the tissue when it contacts the body through the high-frequency high-voltage current generated by the effective electrode tip, achieving separation and coagulation of the body tissue, thereby achieving the purpose of cutting and hemostasis.
Two working modes of high-frequency electrosurgical knife:
1. In monopolar mode, the negative plate needs to be attached, and the current passes through the patient through the effective wire and electrode, and then returns to the generator of the high-frequency electrosurgical knife through the negative plate and its wire, using a complete circuit to cut and coagulate tissue.
2. In bipolar mode, bipolar electrocoagulation is to provide high-frequency electrical energy to the body tissue through the two tips of the bipolar forceps, so that the blood vessels between the two ends of the bipolar forceps are dehydrated and coagulated, achieving the purpose of hemostasis. Its range of action is limited to the two ends of the forceps. The degree of damage and impact on body tissues is much smaller than that of monopolar methods. It is suitable for sealing small blood vessels (diameter <4mm) and fallopian tubes. Therefore, bipolar electrocoagulation is mostly used in more delicate surgeries such as brain surgery, microsurgery, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology, and hand surgery. The safety of bipolar electrocoagulation is gradually being recognized, and its scope of use is also gradually expanding.
